Position Overview:

The Photography Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Zenni’s new photography production studio. This position involves providing technical support for photo equipment, managing inventory of equipment and props, assisting in set-up and breakdown of equipment as well as shooting product imagery and helping with photo editing.

What we want you to own in this role:

Photo and Video Support:

• Provide digital technical support to the lead photographer including naming and organizing files during production.
• Assist with maintenance of the digital asset library, including uploading, organizing and tagging photo and video assets.
• Provide physical support to the lead photographer including setting up and tearing down lighting, camera and various equipment.
• Periodically shoot product imagery and Edit photos in conjunction with the photographer for use on site and across marketing channels.
• Assist in the setup of the new photography studio including documentation of processes as well as maintenance and organization of photo and video equipment. 
• Assist with Digital Asset Management including uploading, organize

Studio, Equipment and Props Management:

• Maintain equipment and manage the organization within the studio. 
• Create and manage the equipment inventory database.
• Research and recommend organizational tools, plus expendables and production equipment for the studio.
• Provide general upkeep and storage of props on sets and manage the art department inventory database.

What skills do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; at least 2 years of photo experience.
• Familiarity with photographic and video equipment.
• Digital Tech experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, time management, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of current photo industry software and practices (e.g., Capture One, Photoshop, etc.).
• Proficient in Mac and some experience with Adobe Creative Suite Software.
• Interest in video production along with passing knowledge of video equipment.
• Ability to learn and use new and emerging technologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

As of 01/01/2023, the expected salary range for this position is $70,00 to $90,00. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the Company’s business needs.
