This is a role within the Primary Care Business Unit, reporting into the Sr. Director of Primary Care Partnerships, where responsibilities include forging, negotiating, and managing partnerships across channel stakeholders and generating insights for brand partners.
The ideal candidate should have experience in marketing, is a strategic thinker and self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates strong project management capabilities, and can effectively translate complex initiatives into clear, actionable plans. This individual should also be skilled at influencing and collaborating across cross-functional teams and external partners and is comfortable engaging with senior leadership to align on goals, navigate ambiguity, and drive successful execution of joint initiatives.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the single point of contact to manage the long-term relationship with established partners/customers to drive success and scale and ensure partnership success
- Qualify and manage relationships with new partners interested in working with Pfizer from the health technology space, bringing those partnership to execution and scale.
- Partner with team to engage strategically and collaboratively within a matrix organization of internal stakeholders.
- Work with the Alliance Directors to co-manage opportunities with our partners and set a strategic plan for assigned focus areas aligned with the larger corporate strategy.
- Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of channel business opportunities.
- Prepare and give business reviews to senior management regarding progress on channel partnerships
- Ensure partner representation at relevant internal forums and appropriate external events e.g. user groups, trade shows etc. Attend digital health, health tech, and other conferences to Identify, develop and expand relationships with channel partners
- Collaborate with internal groups including Chief Marketing Office, Digital, Brands teams, and others to drive success
- Provide primary management level contact for designated channel partners and ensure that quality standards are set and met.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, especially with other departments to ensure partner satisfaction
- Qualify and manage relationships with new partners interested in working with Pfizer from the health technology space
- Develop research and reports on industry trends, funding, and initiatives in relevant health tech verticals
- Conduct regular external sweeps (e.g., for BD or partnership opportunities) to determine innovation ideas in line with the innovation strategy
Required role qualifications
- Experience (5+ years) in positions within the innovation healthcare ecosystem with proven track record of managing partnerships to exceed business goals
- Past experience in business development and account management functions
- Ability to build close relationships with ecosystem leaders to drive innovative partnership opportunities
- Peer and thought partner to vast network of innovation and leaders
- Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions, geographies, and companies (e.g., with external partners) to drive forward innovation
- Executive Presence in working with senior leadership on highly visible partnerships
Required basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization, gaining buy-in and funding for disruptive innovations

- Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies to source innovation
- Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills
