Core One is seeking a GCP-V Transregional Synchronization Team Analyst to support the program. This position requires an active TS clearance with eligibility for an SCI. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of the Global Campaign Plan – Violent Extremist Organizations (GCP-V).
- Organize and oversee the assessment of the GCP-V, carried out through the Transregional Synchronization Forum (TRSF) to evaluate the effectiveness of its execution.
- Establish and maintain the assessment structure, including the analysis of GCP-V objectives, Lines of Effort, and Intermediate Military Objectives assigned to Geographic and Functional Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and the interagency.
- Offer subject matter expertise in the field of counterterrorism and provide support to the Transregional Synchronization Forums (TRSF).
- Assist in USSOCOM's inputs into the Chairman's Joint Assessment (CJA) and continuously review operational intelligence reports, with a particular focus on countering terrorism and violent extremist activities.
- Conduct directed threat analysis research and fuse all-source data and information to support analytical efforts, enhancing the ability of Special Operations Command (SOCOM) as the Coordinating Authority (CA) for GCP-V in developing comprehensive multi-disciplined products.
- Organize, conduct, or support Assessments Exchange Workshops and site visits to subordinate commands. Coordinate with the GCP-V assessment community of interest for the production of campaign assessment materials.
- Prepare assessment data call messages for all participants and develop Program of Action and Milestones timelines to ensure the timely production and completion of campaign assessment products.
- Offer expertise and support in assessments, including the review of strategic documents coupled with the analysis of operational documents.
- Serve as a co-lead writer for bi-annual GCP-V assessments and make recommendations for future plan revisions.
- Prepare assessment products for 1–2-star Joint Planning Board, 3-star Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) led Operational Deputies (OPSDEPS), and 4-star Theater Area Network Knowledge (TANK) sessions.
- Act as the lead Action Officer (AO) for the development and coordination of specific CJCS-directed Strategic Questions to be presented at the JCS TANK.
- Analyze Combatant Command (CCMD) assessments of progress against GCP-V objectives and compile input into the GCP-V assessment.
- Develop assessment methodology and framework, including strategic effects criteria and rating scales, to assess progress toward achieving campaign objectives and end states.
- Collaborate on the development of strategic effects for the GCP-V assessment cycle.
- Develop recommendations for the Joint Staff regarding adjustments to the D-ISIS campaign plan.
- Contribute to the development of the way ahead and best practices in the assessment process from a strategic perspective.
- Provide expertise and background in the area of radical Islam for ongoing analytical work on Transregional Network Enablers.
- Develop briefings, talking points, and information papers for senior leaders related to the assessment and broader Countering Violent Extremist Organizations (CVEO) efforts.
- Review Joint Staff and other CCMD/JSOC products for SOCOM inputs.
- Collaborate across the SOCOM enterprise and Combatant Commands on related Countering Violent Extremist Organizations (CVEO) efforts.
- Provide augmentation to the J3 Operations Officer and/or Senior Leadership in the execution of daily J3 taskings and management functions.
- Conduct and prepare executive-level, research-based strategic-level studies, assessments, and papers to analyze, assess, and synchronize CVEO strategic documents.
- Offer subject matter expertise with the geopolitical knowledge necessary to conduct CVEO studies and assessments for the analysis, assessment, and synchronization of the command strategy, command policy, action plan, and strategic assessment.
