Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications.
• Portfolio showing 0→1 product launches (dormant apps acceptable)
• 5+ years with Figma auto-layouts, component libraries, and ProtoPie micro-interactions
• Experience designing for React Native app constraints (performance, touch targets)

Desired Qualifications: To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some of the following qualifications:
• Experience shipping 2+ apps to App Store/Play Store
Skills and Abilities: Below is a general list of desired skills and abilities; this is not an exhaustive list.
Shape our visual identity as the first UI Designer, creating app interfaces that balance brand personality with technical constraints.
Join our early-stage startup as a Senior UX Architect to build foundational user experiences.
You'll define our first user journeys while navigating resource constraints and evolving product visions.
• Create clickable prototypes in Figma/ProtoPie to validate MVP concepts with target audiences.
• Design our first information architecture and user flow diagrams for React Native apps.
• Conduct lean user research (DIY recruiting, unmoderated testing) without existing customer base.
• Map speculative user personas based on market gaps and competitive analysis Startup Adaptability
• Balance speed vs. rigor – 80% solutions that enable rapid iteration.
• Pivot UX strategy weekly based on founder feedback and investor requirements.
• Build reusable research playbook for future scaling.
• Partner with solo developer to ensure technical feasibility of UX proposals.
• Document decisions in Notion for future team members

Work Environment:
• Hybrid/Remote office environment, manager permitting, with traditional hours
• Sitting for extended periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours)
• Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours)
• Must be able to work overtime to the extent necessary
• Must be able to travel – estimated at 5% to 10% of the time
