Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to speak, read, and write English language
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions in order to understand and to commuicate with others, to complete required documentation in both written and electronic form, and to troubleshoot systems utlizing the English language.
- Must have the ability to perform essential job functions, wear required personal protective equipment, comply with all applicable safety practices, maintain a clean work area, complete written reports, perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations, enter daa into and pull data from computer systems.
- Must possess considerable problem-solving ability in dealing with equipment or troubleshooting when supervision is not readily available for consultation.
- Must be able to read/write and perform basic mathematical functions in order to understand the Corporate Lab Manuel and standard methods of examination of dairy product.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and timely distribution of laboratory testing reports from all labs to production departments and management.
- Train QE and operation personnel on correct in-process and final testing protocols and technique.
- Aids in the administration of the plant's hold and release program by entering specs and placing product on hold.
- Oversees PQC program and issues vendor complaints.
- Ensures all laboratory control programs are complete and satisfy all corporate requirements.
- Assists environmental and in-process microbiological sampling and monitoring program to ensure they meet testing requirements and company policies.
- Maintains laboratory equipment as required to ensure accuracy, performing calibrations and preventative maintenance.
- Relieves and assists lab techicians as needed to ensure proper testing, including procedural audits.
- Displays initiative and a sense of urgency when investigating quality/production concerns and follow up on corrective action.
- Acts as QE supervisor back-up when required.
- Adheres to all company policies and safety practices. Maintains 5S standards.
- Follow company's good manufacturing and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains housekeeping in area and maintain 5S standards.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, team leads, and supervisors.
- Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
