SUMMARY: The Regional Technology Sales Manager is responsible for inspiring and motivating a high­ performing, success driven, goal-oriented sales team. This role is responsible for growth in a specific technology portfolio (Mobile or Industrial). Provides coaching and guidance to sales team in areas such as solution design, supplier selection, and risk avoidance. Works cross functionally and fosters an environment of accountability. Provides technical expertise and support in the design, selection, sale, and implementation of hydraulic systems and components. This role involves working closely with the sales team, customers, engineers, and supplier partners to ensure that the hydraulic solutions meet specific application requirements and are aligned with regional and company goals resulting in revenue and gross profit growth. Responsible for managing and growing select accounts. This position reports to the Regional Vice President, Sales.

Revenue and Gross Profit Growth

  • Develop sales strategies aligned with the regional and company goals resulting in revenue and gross profit growth for specific technologies and supplier partners.

Key Account Management

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with corporate and supplier initiatives to grow market share and increase revenue within assigned accounts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within all levels of the customer.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to customers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of our products and their applications.

Technology Education and Training

  • Provide training and support to customers and internal teams on hydraulic products and systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
  • Train regional employees on supplier specific technology, products, and other focus initiatives.


Technology, Application, and Design Support

  • Help specify hydraulic components based on the system requirements and specifications.
  • Provide technical support to customers and sales teams within designated technology.
  • Work closely with sales and suppliers to understand the needs of the customer to provide tailored hydraulic solutions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to hydraulic systems and components.
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvements to optimize system performance.
  • Conduct joint sales calls, on-site visits, and evaluations as needed.

 Supplier Satisfaction

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Promote and support key supplier partners and associated initiatives internally and externally within the region.
  • Monitor and analyze key supplier partner scorecards and drive behavior for positive results.
  • Other duties may be required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration, or six (6) years of hydraulic sales industry experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least six (6) years of hydraulic sales and/or application support experience.
  • Fluid Power certification is preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver expected results
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings effectively.
  • Intermediate ability to utilize business software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Disciplined and self-motivated.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize effectively.
