This position is being recruited for in Anchorage.



What you will be doing:

This position is responsible for providing independent technical support services to State of Alaska employees at the Department of Environmental Conservation in Anchorage.  The incumbent troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software and network IT issues, tracking resolutions in a ticketing system.  The position plans, implements, maintains, and decommissions servers to migrate to enterprise data solutions. Primary duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Junior Level Server and Infrastructure Support, utilizing VSphere and Azure tools
  • Active Directory Administration
  • Backup and Recovery Solutions
  • Sharepoint Administrator
  • Tier 2 Ticket Escalations
  • Utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager for Images and patching
  • Liaison between various teams, including Security, Networking and Platform Services
  • Building and deploying Powershell Scripts for systems administration
  • Cisco Meraki configuration and monitoring
  • Licensing

The DAS IT Support section works as a team with OIT Telecom, Data Center, Strategy & Agency Services, and the State Security Office (SSO) to keep departments technologically operational and secure.
