The Data Management (CMDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CMDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.
The Data Management department is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to fill a Section Leader position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 15 – 20 Data Management (DM) professionals and performing a range of DM and engineering support tasks on multiple programs.

What You Will Do
Influence and lead a team through strong communication and engagement
Actively engage with all Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads for assigned programs to ensure that Data Management is actively represented within the program
Assist in the development of action plans to address key focus areas
Technically support program milestones and contribute to successful reviews and customer interchanges
Identify and elevate, when required, technical execution risks (includes technical discipline, technical performance, cost and schedule performance) to program and functional management
Meet the team’s committed schedule, cost, and performance requirements
Provide program and functional management insight into the health of the team’s technical execution
Conduct performance/career development discussions, including plans for employee improvement
Coach and mentor, technically and personally, to ensure employee success
Define and manage team staffing needs
Ensures the team understands and follows proper company media
Collaborate with the CMDM Leadership teams on goals and strategy
Create innovate solutions for customer and company initiatives
Recognize and provide appropriate team and individual rewards and recognition
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) tools
Experience with government standards and processes, such as GEIA-859, Data Management Standard or those described in EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard

Experience with generating productivity metrics and reports
Experience with estimating, proposing and managing cost and schedule on a program
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Able to generate and deliver customer presentations
Ability to interpret scheduling and milestone requirements
Collaborate in a team-based environment consisting of organizational and outside customer contacts to meet project goals
