Services include: base operations support services; facilities management/maintenance (MEP, etc.); landscaping, janitorial & pest control; environmental support (waste management, exposure assessments, etc.); safety and quality management; training & records management; IT data center management; safeguards, security & access controls; equipment maintenance; logistics and materials management.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Oversees all assigned maintenance activities. Supervises maintenance personnel, including staffing and performance management. Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures safety and health of employees during work tasks, utilizing good work practices and following procedures and protocols.
  • Under limited supervision, performs maintenance execution job functions as directed by Management.
  • Supervises maintenance personnel (Maintenance Mechanics, Mobile Equipment Mechanics, and I & E Technicians).
  • Responsible for the supervision and effective execution of all maintenance and operations support activities for a small to medium maintenance project
  • Provides direct oversight for all assigned mechanical maintenance activities for day to day operations of the group
  • Instructs employees on the work methods and performance expectations
  • Assists with maintaining positive employee relations
  • Ensures that maintenance personnel are adequately supplied with information, materials, tools and equipment.
  • Ensures the training of all assigned craft personnel is kept current and any required job specific training is completed before work start.
  • May be required to work overtime or be called in during off shift hours for routine work or maintenance emergencies.
  • Ensures that maintenance personnel follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that maintenance personnel observe and follow all work place rules, company policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible and accountable for Safety & Health performance and the communication of safety awareness.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with Environmental, Safety, Health, and Quality (ESH&Q) to implement and approve applicable Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) during the pre-planning phase of work.
  • Maintains a safe working environment. Demonstrates awareness and implementation of applicable ES&H requirements while also alerting co-workers of such requirements as needed.
  • Provides and conducts routine facility mechanical maintenance assessments, as required.
  • Demonstrates the ability to get along with co-workers, customers and visitors.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including snow removal activities.
  • Assists planning with schedules and organizes the daily/weekly work to ensure utilization of employees and compliance with all contract requirements, quality standards and budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintains and tracks Parts supply to minimize downtime of equipment
  • Assists with parts lookup for equipment
  • Maintains CMMS database to track and maintain equipment preventative maintenance
  • Must be capable of understanding and performing methods and processes
  • May serve as the company on-site representative with the client
  • Daily date entry into CMMS system to document work tasks completed

Safety Responsibilities

  • Keep work area in order and free of hazards.
  • Perform work within the controls identified and stop work when an unsafe work condition exists.
  • Actively Participate in safety programs and initiatives.
  • Report all injuries.
  • Participate in work planning so that hazards are identified and appropriate corrective actions are taken.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience

  • A related technical associate degree and 5 years of craft experience or an equivalent combination of education and Craft experience is required.
