About the role

Description

SHINE Technolgoies is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a key business partner to SHINE management and will support multiple departments within the organization. The position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities and will help the business develop, implement and maintain key processes, including the budget, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and will support analysis & reporting of monthly/quarterly operating results. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide analytical support to cross-functional teams to help drive the company’s operating performance and financial returns. This is a dynamic role in a startup/development company and will provide the right candidate with a multitude of exciting and challenging experiences, a lot of room for professional growth, and lucrative long-term potential.


The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $150,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate cross-functionally to support the development of detailed, short to medium-term business plans including budgets and forecasts
  • Develop financial projections and build financial models that communicate the company’s operations and future performance
  • Review and analyze monthly and quarterly performance to explain variances and identify key drivers impacting performance 
  • Support the development of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to summarize results and provide insight into the Company’s performance
  • Drive improvements to process, systems, and reporting to provide more transparency and visibility into current and future financial results
  • Interface with the Company’s accounting team to ensure the Company’s budgets, forecasts, and reports are in sync with the Company’s financial system
  • Maintain a “super user” technical knowledge of the company’s ERP and other financial systems 
  • Maintain information databases by entering, verifying, backing up and correcting data
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and lead financial evaluation of projects as required


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in an FP&A like role with mid to high level of knowledge of accounting
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts and ability to clearly communicate those concepts to non-finance personnel
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
  • Strong analytical capability with a high attention to detail
  • Composure and presence to present and defend findings to various constituencies, including senior management
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to create detailed, organized financial models and projections with minimal input

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: 

  • Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. 
  • Fine motor coordination and strong depth perception is beneficial.
  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. 
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
