About the role:

Creating a world class customer experience is critical to the long-term success of DIS. To that end, we’re looking for a project-based part-time college student, who is looking to gain in-depth experience and establish process improvement recommendations in a dynamic SaaS software business. This opportunity will be on our accounts receivable (AR) team to learn and document business standards, processes, gaps/opportunities, as well as measures of success- to improve company cash flow and reduce customer payment friction. M-F 6 hours per day from 8am-2pm PT. $20.00/hr.

Position expectations:

· Assist with documenting our standard practices, policies, and measures of success for our Accounts Receivable end-to-end process.

· Using qualitative and quantitative data, evaluate current policies, practices, and processes and present recommendations for process improvement.

· Validate financial and customer data in our reporting systems.

· Provide insights on data inconsistencies for improvement.

· Voice of the Customer – understand and prioritize the reasons for delayed payments, suggest changes to process, tools, and communications to directly improve timeliness of our Accounts Receivable (AR) position and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).

· Work with other departments to ensure that the correct amounts are collected in a timely manner.

· Verify and record transactions.

· Identify account discrepancies.

· Perform other tasks to secure client payments.

· Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

· Other duties as assigned

Position qualifications:

· Active undergraduate student studying Business – accounting or finance

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

· Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles

· Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to analyze large sets of data

· Familiarity with accounts receivable functions

· Able to work independently.

· Limited, occasional travel.

Salary Range (US Only):

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $16.00 - $24.00 per hour. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factors.
