Automotive Accounting Clerk

Riverside Auto Group of Escanaba, a family-owned automotive dealership, is seeking a qualified Automotive Accounting Clerk. As part of the store team, the Clerk oversees activities throughout the dealership, takes initiative, leads by example, and maintains professionalism in the workplace while providing excellent customer service.

This position is Full Time, Monday through Friday, no weekends!

Responsibilities:

• Assist the corporate office with daily, monthly, and year end operations of the dealership accounting office.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines per the manufacturer's format and time frame.
• Reconcile and manage payments on select accounts on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.
• Ensure that all manufacturer's accounts on warranty claims, rebates, incentives, protection, and advertising are current and accurate.
• Prepare semi-monthly payroll.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Compile information and prepare reports as requested by management, and/or dealer principals.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to meet deadlines with effective time management skills.
• Detail oriented with proactive communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with financial reporting and accounting
