This is a multi-faceted Staff Tech, Security position working within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. You will help administer and maintain a comprehensive security program in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Your strong attention to detail combined with your ability to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing will lead to your success. This position requires that you be self-driven, result-oriented, and capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently across a diverse program landscape.
What You Will Do
- Maintain classified document control/accountability of classified media shipped and received.
- Process and maintain Visitor Access Control and Personnel Security.
- Perform various employee in-processing/out-processing security briefings/debriefings.
- Update security personnel access lists and databases accordingly.
- Prepare and participate in semi-annual and yearly audits and inspections.
- Assist with implementing and tracking Security Education and trainings.
- Assist with the implementation of local Standard Operating procedures (SOP), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans, and COMSEC requirements and guidelines.
- Participate in a team environment to implement security policies and procedures in coordination with the company policies and government regulations.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- 2+ Years relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM) and ISLs.
- Working knowledge of DISS and NISS.
- Experience with processing classified shipments and accountability of classified assets.
- Working knowledge of maintaining data within multiple databases.
- Completion of General and Industrial Security Courses through the CDSE.
