Program Summary

KBR has a wide range of expertise Supporting AFLCMC/WL in the Tanker Recap/NGAS (Next Generation Air refueling System) Program Office.  Acquisition focused support roles spanning Milestone A to Milestone C is required for what is essentially two programs within one.  This Office is looking for the best and brightest talent supporting the Air Force Acquisition process.

Job Summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Sr Acquisition Program Manager to support the acquisition of Tanker Recap/NGAS (Next Generation Air refueling System) systems.  You will lead OSD, HAF, and AFLCMC-level acquisition studies, driving major USAF weapon system program decisions. Provide expert guidance and recommendations, shaping acquisition strategies for multiple program offices and senior staff. Develop comprehensive program documentation to support milestone decisions and acquisition strategies.   Create, prepare and present briefings to Senior Level Leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience in USAF weapon system management.
  • Proven track record in ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions.
  • Ability to provide strategic recommendations and tailor milestone requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree and 15 years of experience in DoD/Air Force Acquisition.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as an ACAT I/II/III PM within the last 10 years.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Experience in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Program Management Level II or III DAWIA certification.
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC Policies, Processes, and Procedures.
