As the Global Head of Organizational Development, you will craft and implement Expedia Group’s strategy for organizational development.
As the Center of Excellence lead for this organizational development consultancy, you will be responsible for leveraging the ideas of internal and external experts to develop world-class organizational development products, methodologies and solutions across key practice areas: organizational change, executive coaching, operating models, team effectiveness, culture development, organizational design, competency/ job architecture, organizational assessment, M&A.
For this role, we are seeking a transformative, change-agent who values team collaboration, can think creatively, and who has both the thought leadership and the executional ability to lead and drive change. This individual should be comfortable operating with a 'start-up' mindset, demonstrates strong learning agility and can move things forward when there's ambiguity.
What you’ll do:
Develop the strategic vision and plan to establish Expedia Group’s Organizational Development team and provide consistency in approach and a common language across Expedia Group.
You will be responsible for working across multiple client groups to address Expedia Group's toughest organizational development challenges to increase the performance of our operating divisions and overall business.
You will also be the point of contact for organizational change for all of Expedia Group, consulting with senior executive leaders and the People Leadership Team to problem solve and identify gaps, then design and implement strategic plans that enhance business outcomes.
Partner closely with Talent Development to build capabilities of partner practitioners (i.e., People Business Partner, Geo Partner, Talent Partner, Learning Leads, etc.) and individuals in the business. Mentor/coach the Organizational Development team to increase the depth of expertise and ensure the highest quality of delivery.
Contribute to continuing research (internal and external) and development of methodologies, templates, case studies, and best practices in key practice areas. Obtain and maintain professional certifications where appropriate/relevant.
Lead a team of OD consultants to provide expert support and build capability for business change, org design, org effectiveness, high performing teams, etc.
Teach People Team and business leaders to triage OD issues accurately and quickly and know when to seek additional expert help.
Collaborate with colleagues in Talent & Learning, People Analytics, People Team Tech, Inclusion & Diversity, Employee Communications to ensure an integrated approach.
Represent Expedia Group externally on topics related to organizational change and domain expertise. Contribute thought leadership to field of practice outside Expedia actively. Deliver directly the strategic/senior Organizational Development consulting engagements to your aligned key practice areas.
Partner with and coach BP Leads, business leaders and other People Team members to develop and implement change, culture and capability building interventions that align with business needs.
Who you are:
You are a true Organizational Development (OD) leader, who has operated in a global corporate environment and built a standalone OD function across a global enterprise.
A leader with 15+ years' experience in organizational change, team effectiveness and culture and who understands how the practice areas intersect to create comprehensive client solutions.
You are a deep subject matter expert and leader in the areas of OD, organizational effectiveness, user-centered design, performance consulting and culture and have been using metrics, data and insights to create and demonstrate OD solutions that drive business outcomes.
Demonstratable experience operating within best-in-class, business-focused HR functions and had success leveraging your expertise to generate buy-in and trust at senior levels to provide effective counsel and influence decision-making.
