As a Master Data Owner at Landis+Gyr, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing data standards and conventions related to our product and operational data. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data within our organization. You will work closely with various teams and stakeholders to establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures, and you will drive continuous improvement in data quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
1.    Data Governance: Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality, consistent, and accurate data across the organization.
2.    Data Standards and Conventions: Define and maintain data standards and conventions for various types of data, including product data, operational data, and customer data.
3.    Data Quality Assurance: Establish and manage data quality controls, data profiling, and data validation processes to identify and rectify data anomalies or errors.
4.    Data Documentation: Create and maintain data documentation, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories to ensure data transparency and understanding among all relevant stakeholders.
5.    Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data analysts, data stewards, and business units, to understand data requirements and ensure data standards are met.
6.    Data Compliance: Ensure that data practices align with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as GDPR, ISO, or industry-specific regulations.
7.    Data Integrity: Monitor and report on data integrity, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions as needed.
8.    Data Training: Provide training and guidance to employees on data standards, conventions, and best practices to promote data literacy within the organization.
9.    Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve data management processes and standards, adapting to changing business needs and technologies.
10.    Data Security: Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure the security and privacy of sensitive data.

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in data management, information technology, business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
•    5 – 7 years of experience.
•    Proven experience in data management, data governance, or a related role, preferably in a complex and data-intensive environment.
•    Strong understanding of data standards, conventions, and data quality principles.
•    Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data modeling, and data architecture.
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    Certification in data management or data governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP, DAMA) is a plus.
•    Familiarity with utilities or energy management is an advantage.
