Your role on our team:
The Head of Retail Controlling and Accounting has direct oversight of financial controlling, working capital management, financials, budgeting, and reporting for the CLAAS-owned retail dealerships of Harvest Center East (CLAAS FARMPOINT) in the U.S.
- Develops, budgets, and forecasts including monthly, yearly, capital, and long-term planning for CLAAS-owned retail outlets.
- Regularly analyzes budget to actual variances of the same and provides accurate data regarding those variances to management.
- Responsible for preparing and making recommendations for the P&L and Balance Sheets for CLAAS FARMPOINT.
- Monitors financial information of CLAAS FARMPOINT to ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.
- Ensures all financial operations are in compliance with government and state rules and regulations for the U.S. retail operation.
- Prepares all financial reporting as required or requested, as well as ad hoc reporting as required.
- Accurately prepares and completes month-end closings on a timely basis.
- Interacts with internal and external auditors in completing audits and tax returns.
- Adheres to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follows and supports compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
- Provides financial analysis of and participates in special projects as required.
- Travels to assigned retail outlets as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned or required by management.
Your profile:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required.
- 5+ years of work-related experience, highly preferred.
- CPA desired, not required.
- Previous experience in preforming hands-on accounting activities.
- Strongly process orientated.
- Knowledge of general accounting practice, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with and knowledge of SAP highly desirable.
- Experience with ASPEN preferred, not required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbal to all levels of the organization.
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
