Director, Instructor Academy Operations

Reports to:              VP, Instructor Development & Quality Assurance

Location:                National (Remote)

 

SUMMARY

The Director, Instructor Academy Operations is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of operational processes within the Instructor Academy. This role manages process and project timelines, tracks progress using Asana, and drives continuous improvements across all Academy functions. Reporting to the VP, Instructor Development & Quality Assurance (IDQA, the Director plays a key role in auditing instructor performance, monitoring compliance with organizational standards, and aligning project timelines with broader departmental objectives.

As part of the Instructor Administration department within IDQA, the Director collaborates closely with the team to develop and maintain documentation that supports operational workflows and organizational policies. This role requires a strong focus on project management and operational compliance while ensuring the Academy upholds the highest standards of instructional quality and efficiency.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of Instructor Academy projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana) to track progress, manage resources, and ensure timely completion of initiatives.
  • Ensure all Academy functions operate in compliance with departmental policies and quality standards.
  • Regularly audit instructor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor adherence to performance expectations.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and collaborate with the Instructor Training department to develop and implement improvement plans.
  • Monitor instructor compliance with organizational requirements, including training deadlines and documentation standards, and escalate non-compliance for appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintain department documentation to ensure alignment with organizational policies and department practices.
  • Support the review and updating of policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect current operational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Instructor Training department to ensure training materials are accurate, aligned with department objectives, and effectively support instructor development.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for department initiatives to ensure smooth execution.
  • Generate detailed reports on instructor performance trends and collaborate with the Sr. Director, Instructor Academy to address areas of non-compliance.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Analyze trends in instructor performance and compliance to inform process improvements.
  • Stay informed about best practices in operational management and training support to ensure the Academy remains innovative and effective.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field required;
