Job Duties

To provide management for the production of mechanical press induced license plates and management of a warehouse operation that supports the license plate production and distribution, and the leadership of staff to positively impact customer satisfaction and to achieve plant and industry objectives for profitability, quality products, offender development, and accurate and complete orders delivered on time.
If hired by VCE you will start or restart a 12-month probationary period. This is for all New Hires, Transfers, returning State Employees.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to work independently to motivate others attain production goals. Ability to effectively communicate with others to achieve production goals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to make technical recommendations, develop job specifications and quality standards. Ability to work independently in complex work situations and under the pressure of tight deadlines and manage safe work practices. Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team in the production and quality of manufactured goods under the pressure of tight deadlines. High School Diploma or GED. Supervisory experience in mechanical production or other high volume manufacturing setting. Demonstrated leadership experience in communication and problem resolution. Experience in quality programs and production floor quality improvement initiatives.
Additional Considerations
Considerable proficiency in wood furniture manufacturing, equipment operation, and quality controls. Proficiency with MRP/ERP system or other manufacturing specialty applications. Certification in Total Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other quality program certification. Considerable experience in wood furniture production.
