The Jr. Buying Coordinator is responsible for executing daily inventory and distribution tasks under the guidance of the Procurement Manager in strict compliance with all state laws and standard operating procedures of The Apothecarium.
The Apothecarium’s inventory department offers our members a reliable selection of high-quality products in a comfortable, professional setting, where our commitment to sustainable operations is demonstrated by exemplary business practices that protect people and the environment. Jr. Buying Coordinator tags and stickers product, completes cycle counts, and completes warehouse inventory tasks at the discretion of the procurement manager. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform opening and closing warehouse duties
  • Labels and stickers product for distribution to store locations
  • Assist with the intake process by checking in deliveries against manifest & invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly cycle inventory audits
  • Maintain and cultivate a professional and positive relationship with our vendors
  • Assist with all inventory receipt, storage and distribution as needed
  • Execute checks of packaging and labeling for products as needed
  • Assist in troubleshooting inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude, and treat customers/co-workers with respect and sensitivity
  • Use discretion with sensitive and confidential security and business information

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent in professional and life experience
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must speak/write English proficiently
  • Applicants may be required to take a background check after a conditional offer is made. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in inventory is highly desirable
  • Experience working in a warehouse setting or distribution highly desirable
  • Experience working in medical services/health & wellness industry highly desirable

  • Reach and twist/turn with hands and arms
  • Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus
