What is the job about?   

Grundfos CBS Inc. (GCB) is seeking an experienced Senior Service Technician to join its Service Delivery team.  The Senior Service Technician will be responsible for the execution of the repair and maintenance work as agreed with the customer (internal/external). The Senior Service Technician is responsible for customer satisfaction, is technical accountable and works independently or together with ASP to address customer requests in an efficient and professional manner. This position reports directly to the Head of Service & Solutions SW and will operate daily out of the Brookshire, TX facility.  Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support. 

 

Your main responsibilities:   

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replacement parts and re-assemble pumps, pumps systems and accessories in shop environment and or field service
• Ensure warranty claims are dealt with in a fair and timely manner for all parties concerned ensuring that due process is followed and all necessary Administration tasks are completed to ensure traceability of jobs and hours allocated
• Ensure timely and accurate input and analysis of data through SAP and FAS so that issues are monitored and resolved as quickly and effectively as possible
• Accurately capture failure data and record all failures in standard Grundfos reporting tools and the FAS system
• Ensure quick turn around and reliability of repair of serviced products
• Develop a continuous improvement approach to service repair and implement corrective actions
• Provide back-up support for the handling of incoming calls on service and technical enquiries
• Perform workshop equipment servicing when required
• Maintain a high level of customer communication with regards to open and pending service jobs
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in the execution of the role and in all customer communications

 

Your background  

We imagine that you have:    

 

• Qualified candidates will possess a Technical education knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering
• Technical education knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering
• 4-6 years of work experience in the industry or comparable environment
• Experience with pump technology
• SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to participate in work with processes or projects within the service environment.
• Ability influence others and follow processes.
• Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in the service environment.
• Experience driving well-defined processes within the service environment.
  The ability to operate daily out of the Brookshire, TX facility.  

 

 

Will be required to travel up to 50% of the time and work in the Field with short notice. Thus, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
