Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Program Manager in AECOM's Power Delivery team, you will play a crucial role in delivering transmission line, substation, and distribution programs for electric utilities across North America. You will be a vital member of the Power Delivery leadership team, actively involved in crafting and executing our program management strategy while also leading the hiring and management of your program management team.
This position can be based anywhere, but candidates must be willing to relocate to the client’s office for 2-to-5 year increments during the program initiation and startup phases.

As our Senior Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the following:
- Lead the delivery of transmission line and substation programs, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive program management strategy that meets client and project needs.
- Oversee program controls, including planning, scheduling, cost management, and risk assessment, leveraging your experience in program management.
- Coordinate design, construction, and readiness activities with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for program-related matters.
- Manage external stakeholders and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Build and lead a high-performing program management team, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.
- Mentor and guide interdisciplinary teams throughout the development of program deliverables.
- Engage in business development activities, including client relationship building, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation.
- Participate in interviews, presentations, and proposal development to secure new opportunities.
- Represent AECOM in industry trade organizations, presenting papers, publishing articles, and serving on committees.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (graduate degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale Power Delivery programs, including transmission lines and substations
- Proven leadership in program management, including planning, scheduling, and cost controls.
- Experience with diverse delivery methods, such as Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, and Engineer – Procure - Construct
- Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build partnerships and coordinate with agencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as PE, PMP, or PgMP.
- Expertise in program governance and organizational models.
- Technical knowledge in Power Delivery-related discipline.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders and end users.
