We’re looking for an experienced Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Engineering Team.This role is for San Jose, California with a hybrid environment, three days a week in office. Reporting to the Director Software Engineering, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing automation test frameworks and test suites to test Zscaler products for reliability, scalability and resilience
• Working closely with product managers, developers and engineering teams towards continuous delivery of high-quality software
• Planning and execution of test suites for each release

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Proficient in Python programming and test frameworks such as PyTest
• Experience with testing on cloud-based architectures
• 5+ years of software development/testing experience

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• CCNA or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Experience with writing Selenium/Playwright scripts in Python is desirable

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range$147,000—$210,000 USD
