The Senior Multimedia Learning Developer is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing and delivering complex, high-impact digital learning experiences that combine advanced multimedia production with learning technology expertise.
Partnering closely with the Sr. Learning Experience Designer, this role transforms learning strategies into engaging, technically sophisticated solutions that enhance learner experience, scalability, and overall program effectiveness. This position requires deep technical and creative expertise, strong independent judgment, and the ability to solve complex problems.
Operating with limited supervision in a fully remote environment, this individual serves as a subject matter expert in multimedia and digital learning technologies within a regulated healthcare technology organization.
What You Will Be Doing
Advanced Video & Multimedia Production Leadership
- Lead end-to-end video production for enterprise learning initiatives, including concept development, scripting support, filming (as applicable), editing, motion graphics, and post-production
- Apply advanced video editing, sound design, and motion graphics techniques to create polished, instructionally aligned learning assets
- Translate complex technical or clinical content into compelling visual storytelling that enhances comprehension and retention
- Establish video production standards, templates, and workflows to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across programs
- Optimize video assets for performance, accessibility (captioning, transcripts), and multi-platform delivery
Advanced Digital Learning Development
- Design and develop complex interactive eLearning solutions
- Integrate video, motion graphics, simulations, branching logic, and custom interactive elements
- Extend authoring tool capabilities using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to enhance functionality and learner experience
- Ensure SCORM/xAPI compliance and LMS compatibility
Technical Problem Solving & Execution
- Independently determine technical approaches when requirements are evolving or not fully defined
- Analyze and resolve non-routine technical challenges across multimedia assets, authoring tools, and LMS systems
- Balance learner experience, scalability, performance, timeline, and technical constraints in execution decisions
- Optimize assets for responsiveness, accessibility (WCAG), and performance across devices
- Proficiency in developing webpages, developing social media content and campaigns, and file optimization preferred.
Enterprise Contribution & Influence
- Serve as the go-to expert in multimedia and digital learning development within L&D
- Provide technical consultation and informal guidance to peers
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to enhance digital learning capability
- Contribute to measurable improvements in learner engagement, experience quality, and development efficiency
What We Want to See
Experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in digital learning development, multimedia production, or technical eLearning development
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex and ambiguous technical challenges
- Experience working in healthcare, med-tech, biotech, or other regulated industries preferred
