Your new role
Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated Manager to lead projects and tasks primarily in regulatory compliance and land use permitting. The successful candidate will join our stellar team that supports clients with a wide range of environmental challenges. Ramboll combines local experience with a global knowledge base to create sustainable cities and societies. We combine insights with the power to drive positive change for our clients, in the form of ideas that can be realized and implemented.
For this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide project strategy, oversight and direction for regulatory compliance, environmental permitting and land use projects (must include wetland permitting, Section 404/401, CWA).
- Lead the preparation and review of local, state, and federal permitting documents with an emphasis on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, VA, MD, NJ, NY rules and regulations.
- Lead client and agency meetings regarding land use permitting and associated activities.
- Conduct and prepare permitting alternatives analysis, compliance statements, and application materials.
- Conduct and manage field surveys, wetland delineations, stream assessments and the preparation of associated deliverables.
- Present information to clients, Ramboll staff, subconsultants, stakeholders and leaders to drive alignment and strategic approach to site development or infrastructure projects.

These include:
- 10+ years’ project or program management experience and 10+ years’ experience in land use permitting, wetland delineation, environmental site assessments, and natural resource consulting.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance and applicable federal, state, local laws and preparation of permit documents and reports under these programs.
- Undergraduate degree in applicable disciplines (e.g., engineering, physical science, construction management, urban planning, or architecture); Master’s degree in relevant subjects preferred.
- Proven track record of sound decision making, taking ownership, and delivering results in a leadership role
