Marketing Communications Specialist

The K-12 Marketing Communications Specialist contributes to the execution of impactful email marketing campaigns to support EVERFI’s business objectives. The Specialist is responsible for optimizing EVERFI’s email outreach campaigns and leveraging marketing automation software to drive lead generation and product activation. 

Responsibilities 

• Contribute to the long- and short-term strategy and execution of email marketing campaigns aligned to team’s KPIs and regional goals by collaborating with Implementation, Marketing and Communications teams
• Perform day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up (copy/design), scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns 
• Develop email lists in collaboration with sales enablement and Implementation, including identification of target audiences, implementation of segmentation strategies, list management, testing and quality assurance for outbound campaigns 
• Measure and track deliverability rate, open rate, click rate, unsubscribe rate, and conversion rate using various tools and reports, in order to replicate and save, share, replicate/scale effective subject lines and content
• Organize and share effective email subject lines and copy in the shared email database and team collaboration documents and assist with maintaining high-performing messages for each persona and product 
• Optimize email campaigns for compatibility across various platforms, devices, desktop and mobile 
• Apply processes and help maintain scalable processes to ensure best practices in email campaigns are leveraged and consistently used across teams 
• Use design software to develop creative for email campaigns 
• Develop and expand knowledge on industry standards for deliverability, open and click rates and communicate best practices to internal teams 
• Other job-related duties as assigned. 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications 

• 1 year of experience in communications and/or email marketing campaigns roles
• Knowledge of marketing automation platforms preferred, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud 
• Experience working with Customer Relationship Management systems, i.e. Salesforce preferred 
• Advanced written and oral communication skills to create compelling messages 
• Creative / design skills 
• Detail-oriented 
• Strong collaboration skills and service orientation mindset 
• Experience with editing communications preferred 
• Ability to manage a high volume of campaigns at the same time in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
