Position Overview

Align seeks an organized and enthusiastic Human Resource Generalist to join our Human Resources team. Managing our On-Boarding, New Hire Orientation, Training Program, and HRIS Platforms are core responsibilities for this role. The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in HR with experience in New Hire Orientation, Employee On-Boarding, ADP Workforce Now, Benefits Administration, and Payroll Knowledge. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential information in a professional manner. Superior communication and problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality customer service along with a high level of initiative are essential. This position will provide a flexible career path in HR. The person we hire will be mentored and will have the option and opportunity to develop valuable skills across the HR spectrum including Employee Programs, Learning and Development, Benefits, Payroll, Legal and Compliance. 

  • The hybrid position will be based out of our New York City Office 3 days per week but will be able to work remotely 2 days a week
  • This is a full-time position offering full benefits, a salary in the $80K to $100K range, paid training, and performance-based bonuses

Requirements

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience as an HR Generalist
  • Strong experience using ADP Workforce Now:
    • HR Dashboard/Onboarding Module
      • Hire/Rehire
      • Setting up/modifying onboarding experiences
      • Creating workflows
    • Benefits Module
      • Understand how to create/edit enrollment events and change plan set-ups
      • Understanding how it interacts with pay profile
    • Performance Dashboard
    • ADP Reporting
      • Creating custom reports, running benefits enrollment comparison reports, and salary history reports
  • Working knowledge of benefit plans and benefits-related compliance:
    • Owning enrollments, terminations, COBRA, and other compliance-related reporting and inquiries
  • Onboarding for Payroll: Familiarity with withholding forms, worked-in/lived-in tax:
    • Understanding how certain ADP Fields impact payroll/pay profile

  • Interest and passion for establishing a career in learning and development, benefits or corporate HR
  • Great Team Fit– flexible, patient, and resilient
  • Proven MS Office skills specifically including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work with confidential information, including sensitive legal matters is essential
  • Strong presentation and communication skills are required

  • Take ownership of new hire on-boarding
    • New Hire Set Up
    • 1st Week Orientation
    • 90 Day Introductory Period and Immersion Training Program
    • Help Maintain Orientation, New Hire, and On-Boarding Documentation / Collateral
  • Manage, administer and be the power user for our HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) including maintaining system documentation, carrying out the full onboarding lifecycle, generating reports, administering benefit plans, coordinating with payroll team to ensure correct information, and training others to use the systems as needed
  • Support training initiatives and coordinate Align's learning and development programs (L&D), including scheduling training with partners and conducting career management meetings to develop professional goals
