About the role
Location: Methodist Professional Centers 1 & 2
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (Onsite; no weekends or holidays)
This position supports a fast‑paced cardiovascular department where patients must be seen promptly. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate promptly and effectively with patients and providers.
- Accurately schedule patient appointments in accordance with established guidelines.
- Understand the full patient workflow and the steps required to ensure a smooth, efficient experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cerner or other complex database systems.
- Interest in improving workflows and enhancing the patient experience.
- Openness to new ideas, processes, and continuous learning.
- Ability to perform all essential functions and independently guide patients through the process within six months.
Role Summary
Provides administrative and technical support to department leaders and teams. Works with basic direction and resolves standard administrative issues as they arise.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0–3+ years of relevant experience; prior administrative experience preferred.
- Experience in a matrixed or complex work environment is a plus.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
