Director of Institutional Effectiveness
Washington County Community College is seeking a forward-thinking, collaborative leader to serve full-time as Director of Institutional Effectiveness. This position is central to advancing the college’s mission by leading strategic planning, institutional research, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with leadership, faculty, and staff, the Director ensures data-informed decision-making and alignment with accreditation and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in organizing institutional research, coordinating strategic planning, and analyzing complex data to support college-wide goals. Strong communication, analytical, and technological skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, relational databases, and structured query language (SQL) survey tools is expected. Experience in higher education planning, evaluation, and accreditation is highly preferred.
This position reports directly to the Dean of Academic Affairs and plays a key role in fostering a culture of effectiveness and accountability at the college.
Qualifications: A master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of four years of experience in institutional research, institutional effectiveness, or working with accrediting agencies. Experience with student learning outcomes assessment, academic program review, and state or federal reporting requirements is highly desirable. Familiarity with student information systems and learning management platforms is also preferred.
Salary: MEA Administrators Unit, salary range $55,214.87 to $65,929.46, salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
