Director of Permanency Services KS

WHO WE ARE:

Cornerstones of Care is a mental and behavioral health nonprofit certified in trauma-informed care that provides evidence-based prevention, intervention, treatment, and support services to help children and families improve their safety and health by making positive changes in their lives. Each year, our team empowers children and families in Kansas, Missouri, and beyond through three key service areas:

• Youth & Family Support – We help youth gain independence through social and living support programs while empowering families with the skills and resources they need to become resilient and successful.
• Foster Care & Adoption – We reunify and unite families while recruiting and providing support to foster parents and youth in foster care.
• Education & Community Trainings – We help students achieve academic success while giving educators the tools to create safe learning environments to improve their students’ behaviors and offer innovative learning opportunities to build and improve knowledge in the community.

We are seeking a Director of Permanency Services to join our team. Your role will be leading the Kansas foster care team in pursuit of the organization’s mission of safer and healthier communities. You will be ultimately responsible for providing strategic leadership of programs and services, which extend to multiple counties. You will lead the team to achieve the highest of program quality & financial health, while ensuring all team members strive to deliver services that lead to long term positive impact on safety, well-being and permanency for youth. You will work collaboratively with other leaders within other departments of the organization to ensure positive interface in support of the organization’s mission and priorities, specifically in pursuing funding opportunities, understanding billing, writing and submitting bids for contract/grant opportunities and reporting to funders and ensuring program goals are met. As a member of the Kansas Foster Care team, you will work with other team members and report to our Deputy Director of Kansas Permanency Services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Directs, plans and coordinates the work of the program staff including supervision and evaluation, training and team building
• Organizes, attends and facilitates department and program meetings to maintain effective communication, evaluate program outcomes, and keep the team up to date on agency goals, objectives, policies and procedures
• In consultation with People Experience Team and other leadership staff, selects, hires, and coaches program staff, encourages employee engagement and strategizes innovative solutions for employee retention
• Implements, manages, supervises and evaluates all activities of the program in accordance with accrediting standards and other requirements, such as government contracts
• Remains up-to-date on all modifications to contract/licensing/funding sources and accreditation requirements; Ensures compliance with all standards and requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in management or supervision in child placing or residential care personnel and programs and the following:

• Master's degree in social work or related field. Licensed by the Kansas behavioral sciences regulatory board is preferred
• At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening
• A valid driver’s license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
