Plant Operations Director

SUMMARY

This position provides overall operational management of CRNA properties to assure all facilities, vehicles and other assets are secure, properly maintained, and meet all applicable legal, health, and safety standards. This program oversees all CRNA Transportation Services.

JOB DUTIES

• Provide direct supervision of all staff in the following departments: Maintenance and Facilities, Transportation Services, and Custodial Services as well as the Project Manager and Safety Coordinator.
• As a member of the Executive Team participate in Executive Team meetings and provide input on company-wide policy and management decisions.
• Implement individualized training plans to ensure all department staff are properly trained to perform their job duties and cross trained to ensure trained staff are continuously available. Regularly review training records with Director of Personnel Development.
• Inspect all facilities and property for safety and maintenance problems on a regular basis.
• Maintain and document preventative maintenance and monitoring schedules for all infrastructure, including: building and heating systems, boiler operations, air handling unit, Day Tank operation, air balancing, water systems operation, digital lighting, water testing, and other related systems.
• Maintain and document preventative maintenance and monitoring schedules for all CRNA vehicles, equipment, and utility systems.
• Monitor all facilities to ensure they meet required safety codes, CARF, and AAAHC guidelines, and OSHA regulations (e.g., fire alarm systems, kitchen equipment, and general building codes), and are appropriately certified and/or licensed.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) team investigations, and provide information on Plant operations, systems, and equipment (records, operational performance, and other data).
• Delegate, train, and/or perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Make recommendations to CEO regarding replacement versus repair verifying system maintenance records for repair and maintenance.
• Make recommendations for contracts with outside vendors for approval for services. Follow CRNA processes for requests for information (RFIs) to send information on projects to vendors and follows CRNA Bid (RFP) analysis tool process to make recommendations on equipment/ product or service vendors that require submission to CEO and CRNA Board Approval.
• Monitor all approved contracts to ensure renewals are timely, and signatures, record keeping, and amendments are in compliance with original solicitations, cost estimates, statements of work, specifications, etc.
• Create and maintain an in-house work request system, and approve, prioritize, schedule (resources, materials) to perform and/or delegate work orders.
• Coordinate with all departments on preparation and requests for repairs and related services.
• Meet regularly with the CEO and attend management meetings as appropriate to ensure that maintenance activities meet organizational needs.
• Collaborate with Finance Department to develop and monitor the annual department budgets.
• Follow all procurement procedures according to CRNA policy.
• Perform and coordinate timely grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal from CRNA properties.
• Coordinate storage requirements for programs, ensuring ready availability to meet needs.
• Ensure all programs have all necessary emergency requirements in place and up to date, including, but not limited to: emergency exits, floor plans, temporary housing is secured, fire extinguishers are current, after-hours/weekend emergency contacts are available.
• Help ensure that CRNA buildings are locked and secured after hours.
