The Difference You Will Make:
The Airbnb Host Education, Inclusion, and Communication team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Events Lead to help our team deliver engaging events and webinars to Hosts across the globe.
You will play a key role in building and managing creative and engaging online and occasional in person events for Hosts worldwide.
You will be responsible for building and operating a central global virtual Host Events strategy and operating system that ensures online events are a consistent, scaled, and effective channel for Community engagement and education.
A Typical Day:
- Establish a clear and cohesive events and webinar strategy with a uniform quality bar and measurable goals that optimize for impact on Hosts
- Create an aligned events roadmap with relevant stakeholders
- Ensure events are discoverable, differentiated, and valuable, so Hosts have a consistent and reliable drumbeat of touchpoints with Airbnb and each other
- Own and oversee the vision and operating system for Host events channels, both online and in-person
- Global Virtual Events: launch events, etc
- Regional Educational events and webinars
- Other Host engagement programming events
- Build global systems and resources that ensure all online events ladder up to a central strategy and are tracked and measured
- Develop global Community Manager guidelines for webinar cadence, volume, and time allocation
- Establish clear ownership and support guardrails
- Create events resources for increased efficiency: content banks, tooling, templates, etc
- Define and measure event success and report on it regionally and globally
- Help internal partners and stakeholders leverage and plug into community events as needed to share key messaging
Your Expertise:
- 5+ years of professional experience and success in Event Management roles - preferably driving education and/or community goals with a mix of online and in person experiences and preferably global in nature
- Proven experience building trusted partnerships across functional teams and with external vendors
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills and the ability to effectively engage with individuals at all levels of the company
- Attention to detail, ability to navigate ambiguity and a passion for creating remarkable experiences
- Highly collaborative with the ability to work positively with cross-functional stakeholders and align them on common goals
- Ability to work in a fast pace/ever changing environment
- Periodic travel required
How We'll Take Care of You:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $118,000 and $148,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
Your Location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
