JOB SUMMARY: The Health Information Management Clerk maintains and protects health information with the designated records set and is responsible for disclosing information in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner in accordance with laws, system policies, and standard operating procedures. They will need to be responsible for providing and ensuring high quality customer service to both internal and external customers.

QualificationsEducation/Certification: High School Diploma, or general education degree (GED). AHIMA Certification of RHIT, RHIA, or CHPS preferred.

Experience:  One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Equipment/Technology:  Ability to use hospital information system. Experience with computer systems and telecommunications technology.
