Director of Treasury & Assistant Treasurer

We’re seeking a strategic leader to oversee Assistant Treasurer operations within our Treasury team. In this role, you will drive financial performance and strategic development, collaborating cross-functionally to enhance Treasury operations.

What Your Day Would Be Like:

• Lead and oversee Assistant Treasurer operations, ensuring financial performance and strategic alignment.
• Manage capital structure strategies, including debt and equity capital raising, short- and long-term debt management, and liquidity forecasting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, fixed-income investors, and credit rating agencies.
• Oversee cash management, banking transactions, and the Pension and Trust Management group, including:
  • Chairing the Nuclear Decommissioning Trust Committee.
  • Serving as a member of the Investment Management Committee.
  • Managing pension and trust assets, a rare and critical function in the utility sector.
• Provide financial and transactional leadership for Treasury and corporate initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior financial leadership, the CFO team, and other corporate functions to drive results and present key recommendations.

• Overseeing Treasury operations and financial strategy to ensure strong organizational performance.
• Leading capital market activities, including funding strategies and investor relations.
• Managing pension plans and decommissioning trust funds, ensuring compliance and optimal financial performance.
• Driving cash and liquidity management to support business needs.
• Providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Developed and executed capital-raising initiatives, including debt and equity financing.

Minimum Requirements

Director of Treasury & Assistant Treasurer

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent education.
• MBA or Master's degree preferred.
• Ten (10) years of progressively responsible business experience with emphasis in financial analysis, capital markets, lending and other corporate transactions, treasury management processes, and work with other financial functions.
• Five (5) years prior leadership experience involving planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the work and performance of others. Demonstrated competency in building strong and effective business relationships, due diligence, financial concepts and leadership of large, complex projects or analyses.
• Possess knowledge of financing concepts including fluency in accounting and tax drivers, functioning of financial markets, lending principles, corporate structure, risk management and utility regulation.
• Demonstrated effective leadership, self-motivation, oral, written and presentation communication skills; negotiation skills; and highest quality interpersonal and people management skills

Major Accountabilities

1) Oversee the Corporate & Strategic Finance, Treasury Operations, and Pension and Trust Managment functions within Treasury.
