Position Overview

The Managing Director, Market Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for driving growth across a defined market. This individual will lead a team of Account Directors, manage strategic client relationships nationwide, and spearhead business development efforts to expand Press Ganey’s impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Growth Leadership

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy across the market, identifying white space and expansion opportunities.
    • Drive new business and account expansion efforts with a focus on strategic healthcare organizations.
  • Client Engagement & Vision Setting

    • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
    • Understand client challenges and articulate a compelling vision using Press Ganey’s suite of solutions.
  • Team Management & Coaching

    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Account Directors.
    • Ensure consistent use of Salesforce and adherence to sales processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with internal experts, executives, and sales engineers to craft winning strategies.
    • Guide cross-functional teams through the sales cycle to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution

    • Lead RFP strategy and proposal development in collaboration with Field Operations.
    • Oversee contract negotiations and deal structuring.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Inside Sales to execute targeted prospecting campaigns.
  • Performance & Reporting

    • Maintain real-time visibility into pipeline, performance metrics, and competitive landscape.
    • Conduct regular 1:1s and team meetings to align on goals and progress.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business development or sales, including 5+ years in a leadership role as a player/coach.
  • Proven success in account management and strategic growth.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare systems,
