The Bush School is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief of Staff I to support the Dean in overseeing school-wide operations, initiatives, and planning. This high-impact role blends executive-level support, operational oversight, strategic implementation, and team supervision—ensuring consistency, efficiency, and innovation across the school. The Chief of Staff provides advanced, confidential support to the Dean, advises on internal and external matters, and represents the Dean in high-level meetings and initiatives. Opportunities to Contribute:
Operational Activities - Provides high-level, confidential support while leading policy development, operational planning, and process improvement. Evaluates the effectiveness of unit operations, ensures communication and implementation efforts to confirm effective, compliant, and continuously improving operation
Leadership Support and Executive Liaison/Representative - Leads high-level initiatives, manages sensitive issues, and serves as a senior representative and executive liaison in meetings and projects on behalf of leadership.
Strategic Planning/Implementation - Supports strategic priorities by providing accurate analysis, monitoring initiatives, and developing solutions. Builds partnerships and coordinates special projects with internal and external stakeholders.
Supervision - Provides strategic guidance, to Dean's direct reports, prioritizes responsibilities, and oversees workflow, with supervisory duties as appropriate.
Qualifications:
This role requires a bachelor’s degree with nine years of operations experience, senior level direction and/or management in higher education, government or private industry, with supervisory skills, strategic planning and leadership support.
An ideal candidate may have an advanced degree and over nine years of operations, senior level direction and/or management experience in higher education, government or private industry.

Special Note: This is an in-person opportunity which may necessitate occasional nights and weekends and occasional travel.
