We are seeking a dynamic Chief of Staff to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) serving as a strategic advisor and operational leader within the Office of the CIO. This role drives alignment across investment priorities, enhances execution of strategic and financial initiatives, and strengthens communication among internal teams, enterprise partners, and external stakeholders. The Chief of Staff will lead complex, high impact projects, streamline processes to boost efficiency and decision-making, and amplify the CIO's ability to deliver on their long-term investment objectives.
The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic connector across investment teams, governance functions, and senior stakeholders-translating vision into actionable plans and enabling disciplined follow through. This leader will oversee complex, multifaceted initiatives; streamline processes to enhance efficiency and decision-making; and elevate communication and engagement across internal teams, enterprise partners, and external stakeholders. This is a high-trust, high-influence role for a forward-thinking leader passionate about enabling excellence at scale and driving performance in a dynamic investment environment.
What You'll Be Doing
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with an on-site presence of 2-3 days per week in our NYC office (1345 Avenue of the Americas) combining flexibility with team collaboration.
The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $170,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

What You'll Be Doing
- Support the oversight and analysis of the c.$120bn General Account portfolio, ensuring accuracy and insight across investment metrics, legal entities, strategies, portfolios, and asset classes.
- Develop high impact presentations for executive leadership, translating complex investment topics into clear insights, recommendations, and strategic options.
- Serve as a primary liaison to key OCIO partners, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, Investment Accounting, and Treasury, ensuring alignment and timely information flow.
- Advance Equitable's ESG and Responsible Investment agenda by supporting ESG integration, impact investing initiatives, reporting, and disclosure requirements.
- Prepare and refine materials for Equitable's Investment Committee and Board of Directors, ensuring clarity, rigor, and strategic alignment in all governance communications.
- Coordinate the strategic planning and execution of investment initiatives across the OCIO organization, driving accountability and operational follow through.
- Facilitate seamless communication and strategic alignment between the CIO and internal/external stakeholders, enhancing connectivity and decision-making across the investment ecosystem.

What You Will Bring
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant experience in an investment analyst role, financial planning & analysis within a large organization, or a financial reporting function working across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proven prioritization and execution skills, with a clear focus on driving meaningful results in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and excel in a fast paced, project driven, team-oriented setting.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with a track record of solving complex problems and influencing process or organizational improvements.
- Skilled communicator with executive presence, able to distill complex issues into clear, compelling presentations and recommended actions.
- Established foundation in finance, investments, and/or insurance, with the ability to apply domain knowledge to strategic and operational challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, leveraging data driven insights and clear storytelling to support decision making.
