Role Summary

This position is a key leadership role within the Magna Electronics Integration team. The Global Engineering Services position is a global role with the primary responsibility to consolidate, standardize, and drive efficiency across common global engineering functions, specifically the DV/PV test labs, test facilities, and garage services. This role will work with the Senior Leadership team and functional leaders within the Product Areas, Finance, IT, Legal, & Quality to develop & execute facility and asset consolidation plans, including the exit of existing TSA/RTSA’s related to integration activities. This role will develop global standardized processes, tools, and reporting to provide the organization with global visibility to lab costs, efficiency & utilization KPIs, project health, personnel and equipment capabilities, future state needs, we well as mange compliance, calibration, and certification audits. The global engineering services leader will also support the development of capital investment needs based on future state product demands and regulatory requirements.

The candidate should have a variety of experiences within an automotive electronics business including direct experience working with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, IT. The candidate should also have had global management & leadership experience, in addition to strategic planning, project development, and project level execution across different geographies and regions. This person should be skilled in establishing project & financial baselines and developing metrics to track trends and progress against goals. This role will also work closely engineering, finance, IT, and HR to establish standardization of data, data integrity, ad hoc analysis as needed.

As the Global Engineering Services leader, this person is expected to handle the responsibilities in accordance with Magna operational principles, employee charter, and code of conduct to ensure smooth and efficient execution of goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the Vision and Mission of the Magna Electronics business while acting in accordance with Magna operational principles, employee charter and code of conduct to ensure smooth and efficient execution of goals and objectives.
• Benchmark and understand the global testing market including Magna electronics competitors and independent test facilities to develop best practices and drive to best in class test operations within Magna Electronics.
• Drive consolidation, standardization, & scalability of labs, testing, and garage services across the entire Magna Electronics organization. Work with functional leaders to develop, evaluate, monitor & achieve strategic objectives across all functional areas.
• Evaluate the capabilities & health of the global engineering services function including people, projects, and assets. Provide coaching and offset proposals to address gaps.
• Provide high quality, reliable, & efficient global engineering services to the PA teams thru standardization, scalability, and flexibility of schedule.
• Develop processes, methods, and tools to ensure flawless execution, compliance to internal and external standards, including customer requirements, industry requirements, and government regulations.
• Meet industry standards and customer requirements. Develop & deliver accreditation and certification plan.
• Establishing operational baselines and develop metrics to track trends and progress against goals
