We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Analytics team to generate insights and build data products that will allow us to answer some of our toughest questions to help us innovate and grow. You will be solving challenging business problems, performing statistical analyses and identifying and solving data quality issues. You will be collaborating with engineering and product teams to define data requirements and shape strategic direction. Responsibilities: Perform data mining, data modeling, and perform statistical analysis to make data-informed decisions for dockless electric scooter company. Build mathematical and statistical models. Execute experimentation and A or B user experience research methodology testing; and complete data visualization using dashboards and data tools. Apply statistical theories to collect and mine data from different sources to Big Query Data Warehouse. Plan data collection methods and determine whether the statistical methods are effective. Data hygiene and cleansing using business logic and statistical methods. Design and Conduct tests to ensure data's accuracy and reliability. Build Data Models to transform data into single source of truth data warehouse. Use quantitative tools such as SQL, Python, Airflow, and Excel to mine, ingest, extract, transform and load (ETL) complex data. Build Mathematical and Statistical Models, Carry out Statistical Analysis to derive insights to make data informed decisions. Develop mathematical and statistical models using Machine Learning techniques. Perform statistical analysis and build mathematical models including linear models, linear regression), variance analysis linear and logistic regression, cluster analysis, cohort analysis, and funnel analysis. Through quantitative analysis, identify trends and relationships in data. Derive insights based on data and work with cross-functional partners to tell data narrative and make data informed decisions. Design data experiments and conduct A or B testing to test out data hypotheses. Set up experiments and design experimental platform with engineering team. Use statistical analysis to analyze the results of experiment. Provide recommendations to stakeholders based on the results. Define and track Success Metrics or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with internal stakeholders and answer data related questions. Present the results of data analysis and insights to stakeholders and senior management team though reports, charts, graphs, and visualization. Develop data dashboards using data tools such as Mode Analytics, Tableau, Looker, Excel Spreadsheet and Google Analytics. May telecommute.
Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 3 years of work experience as a Business Operations and Analytics Engineer, Business Insights and Analytics Manager, Operations Research Analyst, System Developer, or a related occupation.
The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000/yr. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
