Holiday Inn Express and Suites located in Shiloh, IL is seeking a diligent Hotel Housekeeper who will keep our hotel looking its absolute best. You will work with a team of cleaning professionals. Our ideal Hotel Housekeeper has a keen eye for detail while handling vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sweeping duties. Our hotel staff prides itself on providing outstanding hospitality to our guests, and your housekeeping services are a significant part of this. Candidates with prior cleaning experience are preferred, but we are willing to train hardworking people who are team players

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Promotes Company Mission, Vision and Core Values.

• Responsible for the cleaning of corridors, guest areas, service areas and linen closets.

• Empty housekeepers' trash and linen bags.

• Deposits linen down chute and carries trash to the dumpster.

• Vacuum public areas, corridors and/or guestrooms.

• Delivers rollaway and cribs to guestrooms.

• Turn mattresses as directed by management.

• Stocks supplies needed for linen closets.

• Sweeps and mops service landings.

• Mops vending machine areas and keeps machines clean.

• Check all public restrooms for cleanliness several times daily.

• Check each floor to make sure fire doors are open.

• Check elevators for cleanliness.

• Assists with luggage handling.

• Cleans rooms when needed.

• Change bed linen daily.

• Dust all furniture (picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, dressers).

• Remove fingerprints and smudges (ex. mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc).

• Thoroughly clean the bathroom area - wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, etc.

• Make sure that the standard room set-up is complied with.

• Report immediately all damage found in a room.

• Report immediately all missing items in the room. Report immediately personal guest items found in vacant rooms.

• Notify Housekeeping Supervisor of all rollaways or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage.

• Take responsibility for the pass key and make sure it is turned in daily.

• Turn in immediately all "lost and found" items to the supervisor.

• Checks lights and changes bulbs.

• Maintains outside grounds daily.

• Assists in the unloading of deliveries and the proper storage of such.

• Maintenance of the marquee.

• Responsible for laundry: Removes stains from badly soiled linen, Operates washers and dryers properly, Folds all linens to hotel standards, Washes banquet and kitchen laundry, Washes bedspreads, bed pads, and blankets per instructions, Keeps the laundry area neat and clean.

• Handles all laundry chemical products properly and advises the Housekeeper of inventory levels.

• Assists other Housekeepers in other areas when laundry is slow or
