Redhorse Corporation is actively seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Assessor (CRA) to support the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) and provide technical and procedural evaluations identifying areas of risk to Information System Security. The CRA will be a high performing individual who desires to support an organization on the cutting edge of AI and deep learning and one that is making a transformational difference for DoD elements.
Redhorse Corporation is actively seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Assessor (CRA) to support the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) and provide technical and procedural evaluations identifying areas of risk to Information System Security. The CRA will be a high performing individual who desires to support an organization on the cutting edge of AI and deep learning and one that is making a transformational difference for DoD elements.
Tasks, duties, and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the CDAO Algorithmic Warfare (AW) Division on AW projects and with CDAO’s Information Systems Security Manager and engineering team to ensure systems controls meet government security requirements.
- Perform Cybersecurity Risk Assessor duties as required.
- Possess knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) which describes the DoD process for identifying, implementing, assessing, and managing cybersecurity capabilities and services, expressed as security controls, and authorizing the operation of Information Systems (IS) and Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems. RMF brings a risk-based approach to the implementation of cybersecurity, supports cybersecurity integration early and throughout the system lifecycle, promotes reciprocity to the maximum extent possible and stresses continuous monitoring. RMF replaces the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP.)
- Familiarity with the following National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for DoD information assurance systems accreditation:
- NIST 800-37, Risk Management Framework
- NIST 800-53, Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations
- Assess and maintain security policies and procedures for compliance with government standards and information assurance.
Basic Minimum Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials include:
- US citizenship with an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) security clearance and a current access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) (TS/SCI) is required. Applicants who are not US Citizens and who do not have a current and active TS/SCI security clearance will not be considered for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or university and 8 years of related experience is required.
- Experience in risk assessments and analysis of system implementation is required.
- Experience in or on teams conducting system development, improvements, optimization or support efforts is required.
- Experience on or supporting teams integrating and configuration of systems is required.
- Extensive knowledge of Cloud architecture, applications, and integration is highly desired.
- Familiarity with the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC SRG) is required.
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and quickly grasp organizational concepts and needs in the Information Assurance mission space.
