Working directly with the Program Manager, this individual will translate strategic objectives into day to day operational execution while coordinating work across vulnerability management, incident response, RMF, security engineering, policy, training, ISSO support, and continuous monitoring functions.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building operational excellence, improving delivery processes, and leading highly technical teams supporting mission critical Federal cybersecurity operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct daily cybersecurity operations across multiple technical workstreams.
- Coordinate work priorities across incident response, vulnerability management, RMF, engineering, ISSO, policy, and continuous monitoring teams.
- Lead recurring operational meetings, status reviews, backlog reviews, and action item tracking.
- Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule and coordinate deliverables across the program.
- Monitor service delivery, staffing, workload balancing, and operational performance.
- Track risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies while coordinating mitigation activities.
- Ensure recurring reports, metrics, dashboards, and executive briefings are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness during contract transition and throughout program execution.
- Serve as the operational escalation point for cross functional issues requiring coordination between technical teams.
- Support Government leadership through recurring operational reviews and program governance meetings.
- Drive continuous process improvement by identifying workflow bottlenecks, improving coordination, and increasing operational efficiency.
- Coordinate surge support during high priority incidents, major vulnerability response activities, or emerging operational requirements.
- Partner closely with the Program Manager to ensure contractual commitments, performance metrics, and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Approximately 5 or more years of experience leading cybersecurity operations, security programs, or enterprise IT operations.
- Experience managing cross functional technical teams supporting Federal customers.
- Experience coordinating multiple concurrent workstreams with competing priorities.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, RMF, incident response, or security engineering programs.
- Experience developing executive status reports, operational dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting Federal cybersecurity programs operating under FISMA or NIST guidance.
- Experience supporting NIH, HHS, or other Federal civilian agencies.
- Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations centers or integrated cyber programs.
- Familiarity with Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) programs.
- Experience coordinating RMF lifecycle activities and continuous monitoring efforts.
- Experience working with ServiceNow, Jira, Microsoft Project, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar collaboration and reporting platforms.
