About the role


Job Overview:

The Principal Product Architect will join the Keurig Dr Pepper Global Product Organization and work with cross-functional teams to develop the next generation of coffee appliance platforms, specifically leading product and technology integration from concept to implementation.

 

This position will require both technical engineering and leadership skills to coordinate a global, cross-functional development team. The leader will ensure all engineering work is delivered on time in addition to meeting cost and performance targets, while initiating and protecting applicable intellectual property. This position will have a significant impact on future products and will be in an excellent position for visibility and growth within the Keurig Dr Pepper Global Product Organization and Coffee Business Unit. 

 

 

What you will do: 

 

 

  • Lead the integration of new technologies and future generation platforms.  
  • Function as Team Lead representing all technical aspects of product development and engineering, whether in early Advanced Development or production-intended New Product Introduction phases,
  • Translate stakeholder needs into system requirements and technical specifications, and contribute to associated Verification and Validation plans. 
  • Partner with a cross-functional team of internal and external technical, business, and manufacturing subject matter experts to successfully scope and deliver project
  • Work with different subsystems to understand system performance trade-spaces, guide the technical team, and provide recommendation to leadership.
  • Be a consumer champion, starting with the customer and working backwards to deliver great products.  
  • Leverage broad technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, software, and connected systems. 
  • Plan, execute and mentor engineers on Design of Experiments, component of variation studies, flowcharts, process mapping. Understand cause-and-effect relationships and apply problem solving techniques.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and develop learning plans to address/close them
  • Conduct FMEA reviews, create and analyze fault-trees and work on plans to mitigate technical risks.
  • Create and maintain design documentation such as CAD files, specifications, and reports.  
  • Provide direction and mentorship for peers and colleagues. 
  • Create and update Bill of Materials, conduct structural and functional decomposition of systems.
  • Serve as systems expert within a cross-functional matrix through the Stage Gate Maturity events
  • Serve as a technical interface with Asia and European-based suppliers and partners. Support and/or drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with our Quality organization to continuously improve products based on consumer feedback.
  • Support and/or drive continuous improvement in our internal processes.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $130,700 - $160,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a relevant industry, with experience in developing electro-mechanical systems from concept to production. 
  • Previous experience managing projects or programs with internal and external resources. 
  • Previous experience managing projects with high complexity and minimal direct oversight.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to coordinate activities with dispersed teams.   
  • Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma and Agile development.  
  • Ability to conduct Tolerance-stack analysis and understand GD&
