Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Flight Test Engineer. In this role, you will support the F-35B and F-35C aircraft as Flight Test within the F-35 Integrated Test Force, NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. You will develop and publish test plans and flight test cards and determine and communicate aircraft test requirements and configuration to responsible engineering, maintenance, instrumentation, and flight operations personnel to ensure aircraft readiness. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of being able to evaluate results from flight activities and be able to apply what they learned into future test activities.

Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Aeronautical engineering or a related engineering degree.

• Previous Flight Test Experience in industry or college program

• Proficient in MS Office tools

Desired skills

• Ability to interface with all levels of ITF management

• Above average and effective communication and coordination skills

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
