The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Center for Health Statistics(CHS) section in Portland, Oregon is recruiting for an Amendment Specialist to screen, review and process amendments to birth records.
This is a full-time, permanent, classified position and is represented by a union. This recruitment may be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill current or future vacancies.
What you will do!
As an Amendment Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
Process amendments to vital records in compliance with established laws, policies, and procedures.
Screen and review requests, submitted applications, and documentation for amending vital records for completeness and compliance within established criteria.
Approve or reject amendment applications.
Resolve discrepancies and incomplete applications by requesting additional information from applicant in cases where documentation does not meet law and amendment can’t be completed.
