About the job 

We are looking for a talented and experienced Container Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of a robust hybrid container platform at Saxo. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect scalable and secure container solutions that drive operational efficiency and support our modern application hosting transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and Design: Lead the design and architecture of a hybrid container platform that seamlessly integrates with our existing infrastructure. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient container solutions
• Development and Implementation: Implement and maintain Kubernetes platform to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Develop automation scripts and tools for streamlined container deployment, monitoring, and management
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for Kubernetes environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular security assessments and audits of the container platform to identify and address vulnerabilities
• Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, EA, and application development teams to ensure seamless integration of container solutions into the development lifecycle. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team
• Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address performance issues. Continuously optimize the container platform for resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Your profile 
Demonstrable experience developing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters with production workloads is essential. Holding a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Proven experience as a senior DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on containerization technologies, is crucial.

In-depth knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and container runtime environments (having CKA is beneficial but not essential) is impressive. Strong expertise in scripting and automation using tools like Terraform, ARM, or similar is necessary. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures is expected. A solid understanding of security best practices in containerized environments (having CKS is beneficial but not essential) is important. Excellent English communication and collaboration skills are a must.
