The Inside Sales Representative – Product Support (ISR) position is both a telephone and in-person sales role. The goal of the ISR is to identify, establish (or re-establish), and maintain contact with small-to-medium-sized construction customers to increase sales of parts, repair services, warranty work, or other company solutions within an assigned geographic region.

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. This role offers an hourly wage along with commission, with an estimated total compensation ranging from $65,000 - $85,000. Earnings are based on the commission generated.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

To be successful, the ISR must leverage all tools and team member resources available to help customers manage their equipment for better uptime, productivity, and longevity. The ISR will use relationship-building skills—including finding connections, asking questions, listening, and conflict resolution—along with organizational skills such as call planning, follow-up, and follow-through. Additionally, the ISR will be versed in using apps and digital tools to help customers modernize the way they monitor and manage their equipment.

 

 

  • Account qualification and updating: ISR will proactively manage a large account base in their assigned territory with a focus on growing sales for parts and machine services. ISRs will qualify accounts, update the customer's complete account information, and help these customers develop relationships with key Quinn personnel.
  • Promote Quinn services: ISR will promote all aspects of Quinn by selling our parts, service, labor, Customer Support Agreements, etc., to assigned customers and prospects.
  • Sales and customer satisfaction: Through the needs analysis process, ISRs will determine individual customer's needs and provide solutions to meet them. The ISR’s ability to develop a strong positive relationship with customers and fellow employees is critical to success.
  • Relationship building: The ISR is the primary contact from the dealer to these customers. The ISR's relationship-building skills—such as finding connections, asking questions, listening, and resolving conflicts—are essential to success.
  • Teamwork: ISR will partner with branch personnel to schedule and conduct parts and service sales, leveraging organizational skills including call planning, follow-up, and follow-through.
  • Achieve results: ISR will be expected to achieve sales quotas and drive growth for assigned customers while also supporting key company initiatives.
  • Modernization and Digital Tools: ISRs will be versed in using apps and digital tools to help our customers modernize the way they monitor and manage their equipment.

 

COMPENTENCIES

 

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of sales skills necessary to sell premium products and services.
  • Ability to develop and maintain product knowledge of Caterpillar and Quinn solutions.
  • Proven competence in personal disciplines, relationship skills, strategic selling, and tactical selling.
  • Strong organizational skills including call planning, follow-up, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in using apps and digital tools to enhance customer management and support modernization efforts.
  • Ability to assess customer needs, evaluate satisfaction, and develop creative solutions to complex issues.
  • Proven competence in oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to travel to Coast branches or other locations as required to perform assigned duties.
  • Ability to project a positive image, interact cooperatively with others, and adhere to company dress code and safety procedures.
