Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. - Oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content designers.
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our audience of over 3 billion people.
- Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for our supported platforms.
- Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch with the highest quality and craft.
- Craft designs within existing visual systems and/or standards.
- Solicit and provide feedback from partners to continually improve the quality of our products through multiple iterations exploring a range of design options.
- Present concepts, prototypes, and designs to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
- Clearly articulate design decisions to a vast set of internal stakeholders across Reality Labs and Meta.
- Proven experience in designing, developing and delivering full-featured applications or software across a diverse range of technologies.
- Interaction design experience with the ability to define how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs.
- Ability to use prototyping skills to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work.
- Visual design skills with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense.
- Ablility to clearly and succinctly articulate the goals of your team.
- Strategic product thinker with the ability to understand product goals, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on the impact to people and the company.
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design or related design field.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
- Experience designing for hardware products and new interaction models.
- Ability to showcase an end-to-end design process across multiple projects, including interaction and visual design artifacts and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
