Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a passionate and driven Mid-Level Product Manager with deep expertise in commerce to join our dynamic Commerce Innovation (CI) team, part of RRD’s Digital Strategy & Commerce organization. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our online commerce platform. You will be responsible for collaborating on the product strategy and roadmap for a suite of e-commerce applications including RRD’s flagship application, Storefront, working closely with cross-functional teams in our agile development environment. This role will partner with Product Owners who work directly with development and delivery teams and lead prioritization efforts. Our team utilizes a guiding framework to define commerce capabilities, emphasizing a collaborative and communicative approach that incorporates insights from various business teams and aligns with our overall business strategy. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Commerce Teams and other stakeholders as identified in the CI framework to define the product roadmap for e-commerce applications, aligning with the overall e-commerce, IT and business strategies, leveraging your commerce expertise to guide decision-making.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and best practices in e-commerce, maintaining your position as a subject matter expert in the field.
  • Collaborate with UX teams, providing guidance and feedback to ensure proposed designs optimize user workflows and contribute to a seamless and engaging online experience.
  • Ensure that stakeholders and development teams understand the strategic roadmap and vision. This shared understanding will guide the product's development and keep teams aligned.
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure features and capabilities are prioritized in coordination with the overall commerce roadmap, aligning with business objectives and strategic goals, and to guide engineering teams in implementing new features and enhancements, following agile development methodologies.
  • Drive the product lifecycle for assigned features, from ideation to launch, considering operationalization and commercialization, and iteration, leveraging your commerce expertise to deliver product success.
  • Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams to understand key performance indicators, own the analysis and interpretation of key product metrics, and leverage data insights to drive product improvements and achieve business goals, applying your analytical skills and commerce knowledge.
  • Engage with customer support teams to gather feedback, identify pain points, and drive improvements to the platform, utilizing your understanding of the commerce landscape to identify solutions.
  • Present roadmap updates and product performance reports to cross-functional stakeholders, effectively communicating progress and results, showcasing your commerce knowledge and insights.
  • Create compelling content to support the go-to-market and pre-sales teams in building awareness and driving adoption of new features and products.
  • Act as a voice for the customer, gathering insights through research and feedback, establishing a continuous feedback loop to iterate on the product based on their needs and preferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management or strategic business analysis, with a focus on e-commerce or online commerce platforms.
  • Ability to develop product vision and market position, sometimes starting from vague concepts
  • Proven ability to contribute to the definition of and launch successful e-commerce products that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce KPIs and experience using data to inform product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
