We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

PayPal is looking for a talented, innovative, and passionate security engineer to join the Cryptography Platform team. As a Security Engineer you will help build and maintain the next generation of cryptography services that protect PayPal’s critical data stored at rest and moving in transit. You will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of security software services that reside in both onsite and in cloud environments. You will specialize in building highly available, scalable and durable software services to support PayPal global growth.

Job Description:

As a Software Engineer you will:

• Be a strategic thinker and problem solver
• Collaborate with product management to design or simplify APIs
• Create innovative Full Stack components and solutions
• Design and develop highly scalable and available applications for mission-critical systems
• Design, develop, test, and release software using Java and Node JS in a Linux/Unix environment
• Actively participate in design and code review
• Coordinate with other engineers on the project or within the system
• Prototype ideas quickly using cutting edge technologies
• Provide technical solutions to meet business requirements
• Show pride of ownership and strive for excellence
